男女有別!

Read something interesting from an email sent by a friend. I find it rather true. Enjoy!

Busy busy busy!

CNY has been busy for me... Especially the 2nd day. This is the first time that I had to visit 7 places on one day and then go for a movie at JP. Yes! You heard me correctly. I went to JP to meet Eunice and Sue to watch The Wedding Game. Why JP? Because my last visitation was at Bukit Batok.

Yesterday after school, we went to A Pinch of Salt again. At night, I went for dinner at Suntec with some colleagues. Maybe it's time to stop my socialising soon and start saving again. So today, I didn't go out to eat. I'm in school now. I think I won't be eating lunch perhaps. Or I will ta bao back to eat. Wanna get out of this place fast and quick before more unnecessary work is loaded on me... TIRED & SIANZ!

If you noticed, nowadays my entries are rather short and only with one photo. That's because I used my hp to blog. Since my hp has the Wi-Fi function, I've been lazy to switch my laptop on to blog. And I still have not figure out if it is possible to add more than one photo in an entry using my hp.

Cute Lionel!

We were all super entertained by this cute little nephew. His laughter is so contagious. Especially when he kept shouting "Yeah!" with his hands lifted up. He's so cute! The best thing was, he was so attached to me that I have to carry him outside for a walk. When I carried him back to the house, he cried. So together with his mum, we brought him and another boy down to the void deck to walk around. He doesn't know how to go down the steps, but with the help of the other boy and me, he walked down wobbily. He seemed to enjoy taking the stairs. Even when he fell, he laughed non-stop. At the end of the day, my left arm aches... Haha.

Cute Asher!

Saw Asher while walking out to Foyer 3 yesterday and tried to take a photo of him. He's so cute can! He actually sticked out his tongue to show us his cheeky face. He's a smart boy!

Dust!

I wonder why there's always so much dust on my fan. I just cleaned it 1 month ago..

Updates!

My internet network was down for 2 weeks and finally it's back with a new modem. Hopefully this new modem will not give me problems again. So there's lots of things to update.

17th Jan:

Staff Well-Being meeting. Here's all the committee members!

After the meeting, I went to visit Wen at Gleneagles hospital.

Baby Eljasz is so cute and handsome! According to Wen, we were the first guests that Eljasz opened his eyes to greet. So honored. Haha! We really went at the right time.

Here's all those who had the honor to see Eljasz opened his eyes.

24th Jan:

We had Chinese New Year celebration in school. My children were all nicely dressed. So I decided to take a class photo with all of them.

I love this picture the most! Cos I asked the kids "西瓜甜不甜?" They were shocked at my question and paused a while before SHOUTING " 甜" loudly and happily. They are so adorable!!! (Of course I always have some sulky faces around. I wonder why)

After the new year celebration in school, my colleagues and I went to Brewerkz at Indoor Stadium for lunch. We had pizzas and buffalo wings. The pizzas were not fantastic. Most of them were too salty. The buffalo wings were nice, but they were very salty too! We also had a whole lot of unexpected guests joining us that restricted our fun and chill. However, after they left, we had fun ourselves.

Here's the salty salmon pizza.

I would recommend The Merlion (Squid and prawns) pizza though. It's the nicest among the 4 pizzas that we ordered. Their medium size pizza is the large size of pizza hut. Hahaha.

The company of friends made a day well spent!

I realised that I didn't take any picture with Elaine!!! Those I took in school was using Lynn's and Stella's camera. I hope it won't be too long before I could have a glimpse of those photos. Elaine, thanks for taking time to join us for a time of fun and gathering. It's always great to have you around! Too bad we didn't get to see your tipsy side again. Hahahaha!

I had the Indian Pale Ale and find it rather bitter. So I passed it on to GML while I took the Golden Ale. I guess I really don't like the taste of beer. Hahaha. Anyway, I went on to try the sampler set with Yanling. Couldn't really remember what we had chosen. I only remembered one of it, the Fruitbrew, that's nice. We had the stout too! None of the girls liked the taste. So Aaron finished it up for us.

After trying all those beer, Mr Low tried to con everyone to finish up the left over beer.

Pouring the beer into the small glass seemed to make the beer less intimidating. Cheers!

Here's tipsy Dorae Leong a.k.a Mon Leong with pretty Yanling.

With my virtue of not wasting food and drinks, I drank quite a lot and was a little tipsy too. Was conned to go Leisure Park for a cup of tea with the drivers who needed to clear their alcohol content. I almost fell asleep because of the alcohol content. I went to sleep immediately after I reached home and woke up heavy headed and late for my steamboat appointment.

I'm recommending Chun Xiang Restaurant, directly opposite Plaza Parkroyal Hotel. With just the steamboat, it costs $13 per pax. Steamboat with hot plate will be $16 per pax. If you are those super clean freak, this place is not for you. We killed 3 small cockroaches. Hahaha. But the food was great!!! I had super BIG crabs and they were very fresh, sweet and juicy.

Check out this big pincer! I had to use my whole hand to hold it in order to break it from its body.

Here's the 2nd piece that I had.

If I had more time, I would stay on and attack all the crabs. But we had to rush down to Chinatown Ten Dollar Family KTV as we had already made reservations and the rest of them had already finished eating. :(

We celebrated Nicole's birthday over there.

All the girls with Nicole..

And all the jokers with Nicole... Ermx.. sorry, only 1 joker. Hahaha.

And we ended the day at 1am. A very fruitful day I would say. Thanks Thow Wee and Eliz for giving me a lift home. They are always so nice and willing to give me a ride back. I really appreciate their kind gestures!

Now... time to clean up the dusts and mess at home and get ready for a prosperous new year!

Flu bug

I'm attacked by the flu bug. Feel so sleepy and tired just sitting here. And I have a runny nose and a hoarse voice now. And this week is so packed packed packed!

Mon - CCA
Tue - Item Setting Workshop
Wed - Developmental Workshop
Thur - SHHK Sports Day Meeting
Fri - CCA Open House
Sat - Staff Well-being Meeting

I am so tempted to get a mc but I won't because I don't want my students to have relief teachers. On top of all these, I am supposed to do my stock take by this week, complete the SLIF form and decide on my lesson observation date. No more "closed" eyes on such things because my RO is new to the school and to me. I got to be on the ball!!!

Netball netball netball!

It really feels different to be doing things that we like. I just had my first netball session with the girls today. 2 hours flew past just like that. I didn't play enough. Looking forward to play more with them!

I think I'm falling sick.

1st week in school..

The 1st week in school was tiring. I'm tired because I couldn't sleep at night and had to wake up super early in the morning. I had gotten used to sleeping late and waking up late for more than 1 month.

Anyway, for the 1st week, we had already gone out for lunch a few times.. And the guy next to me actually said wanna restrict to once a month. Seriously, I never think once a month is realistic. But my once a week seemed unrealistic too.. Hahaha! Once Lynn go for maternity leave, I guess it'll be more realistic.

Now time to introduce nice place to go to...

Shop name: With a pinch of salt - Good food, good ambience and good price!

What I had that day: Sambal Fish.

See the nice deco..

The nice dessert.. Either Caramel Pudding or Ice cream with jelly.

I also went ChinaOne with Suzy, Eunice and MK on Friday night. It's been a long time since I last went such places. They have nice band there. The guy has a good, sexy, hoarse voice. Cool! But the songs didn't really appeal to me. I prefer the songs at Insomnia at Chijmes.

I've uploaded video of the band in my facebook. You can look it up if you want. Time to cut down on expenses...

Abundance of tshirts!

This is a late entry on my Christmas gifts. I got back to sch on 28th December 2008 for staff meeting then realised that Elaine bought me 2 gifts, left on my table quite some time ago.

Here's the 1st one:

The 2nd gift is this book. I'll start reading it real soon!

Thanks Elaine for your thoughtfulness that I do not like sweet stuff and you got me a cake that's not very sweet. And knowing that I love dogs, you bought me a book on a dog. *touched*

Our CG had gift exchange on 31 Dec 2008 during our countdown at Pan Pacific Hotel. Wen was my angel and she bought me 2 nice sporty tops that I can wear for work.

Thanks Wen for getting me 2 tops. It solved my problem of not having to wear torn and tattered tshirts to school. (I'm actually quite used to wearing my torn and tattered tshirts. Guess what? My mum finally sewed and mended the holes on my tshirts. Haha!)

Sometimes, when God wants to bless us, He really blesses us in abundance. On the 1st day of school, Elaine came back to visit us and she gave me another cool tshirt. It glows in the dark!!! I'll wear that for clubbing one day! Haha! Just joking. I'll wear for some NIGHT activities. Thanks Elaine once again. I am really touched by your kind gestures. And the house is really nicely drawn/printed.

That's not the end, Lynn gave me some really nice and sporty tshirts that she couldn't wear. Some were even new! Thanks Lynn! I guess I have no choice but to throw my beloved, torn and tattered PE tshirt away. I can't bear to part with them after wearing them for more than 5 years. Slowly ba. Don't be surprised if you see me with my same old pink PE tshirt. I love that top. Haha. Thank you God and friends for blessing me with abundance!

I-Ving's wedding

Here's presenting to you, the 1st wedding that I attended for 2009!

The door gift- A very nice shot glass. (Do you know what I'm thinking??)

The 1st dish that's very nice.

Sandy and her boy, Aden! See, he's giving a toast to the bride & groom!

I stole a chance to take a picture with him.

Then we took a picture outside the ballroom before they left.

Finally, the beautiful bride, I-Ving, appeared.

The SAJCians.

The beautiful coconut pudding for dessert.

An artistic photo taken by accident.

Lynn, Xeon and me!

No I didn't put the picture in the wrong entry. Lynn's cousin is I-ving's husband. And Shu Han as usual, walked up to me and put her hand on mine when she saw me. She's so sweet! But that's not reflected when the kids took picture together.. Hahaha!

Here's how Gwen and Shu Han posed for the picture. Look at how cute they were!

The 4 musketeers of the Liew family.

Pretty Gwen when she stood still to take a picture.

The handsome dad and his son - Andy and Xeon.

After many attempts then I managed to get Gwen to take a picture with me..

And we went our separate ways after the luncheon. I feel like taking a nap now. *YAWNZ*

Bebe Makeover!

I decided to bring Bebe for her 1st grooming session after 10 years of keeping her. Her skin is in bad condition. So I had no choice but to have her shaved her whole body. She's SKINNED! My poor dog.. I hope she didn't go through a lot of pain in her makeover process...

BEFORE...

AFTER...

What do you think? Which is cuter? I prefer my furry dog. I really hope all the supplements and medication can help give her a healthy and beautiful skin and grow back her hair!!! Spent $200+ on her.. the stuff better work!!
